I was a Kickstarter Backer and I'm interested in ordering reward items from other tiers. Can I order individual items?

Yes you can! As a backer, you have access to the full range of items that were made available during the campaign. You can choose to order any combination of items and in any quantity… this includes extra copies of the book!

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, I offer worldwide shipping! However, if you order a large quantity of items and live in a region outside the US, Canada, and Europe, your shipping cost could be prohibitively expensive. If you are interested in ordering a large quantity of items, especially books, it’s best you contact me directly to arrange an alternate shipping method.

I've been disappointed with other crowdfunded projects that have charged inaccurate shipping fees. How are your fees calculated to ensure I'm paying what I should?

During research for my campaign, I learned inaccurate shipping fees are one of the most common crowdfunding pitfalls. This can cause problems when creators find they’ve undercharged for postage or backers find they’ve overpaid. BackerKit allows weight-based shipping to be calculated at the point of purchase. I worked very hard to provide specific shipping costs for any given region of the world. Weight-based shipping is the most accurate method available.

Furthermore, I’ve partnered with a English fulfillment partner to assist in shipping out international orders. This has allowed me to reduce international shipping costs significantly. For example, shipping a single book to Australia from the US would cost about $50 US. From England, the cost reduces to about $27 US–nearly half the price–and that includes freight to the warehouse and fulfillment fees!

Can I order a large quantity of books or other reward items?

Yes you can! The BackerKit store allows a maximum of 20 books per backer and an unlimited quantity of any other item. If you need a larger quantity of books, please contact me directly.

I missed the Kickstarter campaign and want to order a Backer Edition... is it too late?

Unfortunately… yes. I did promise Kickstarter backers that the Backer Edition was available exclusively during the 30-day campaign period. The Backer Edition has two distinct features: gold gilded paper edges and a special foil-stamped “Backer Edition” seal on the back cover. Otherwise, all editions of the book have identical contents and they all feature embossed and holo-foil covers. It’s a way to give an extra-special thank you to backers who helped the project become a reality!

Shipping Updates

Current Estimated Shipping Date: September 2019

I'm expecting to complete the book June 2019 as noted in the Kickstarter campaign. All orders shipping to US and Canada will be fulfilled by myself. Orders shipping to all other regions will be shipped from my fulfillment partner in England and will likely reach backers by the end of July. As always, I'll do my best to avoid unexpected delays but I will ask for your patience as this is my first time fulfilling Kickstarter rewards.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
